TO PUT IT PROPERLY.
A little boy wrote in his diary: "Got up at.seven, went to bed at eight." His governess suggested that "rose at seven" was a more elegant way of putting it..
So the ohild erased the entry and briefly chronicled: "Rose at seven; set at eight."
