SHORTT'S THEATRE.

Human, wholesome, and humorous is Thomas Meighan's new Paramount picture, "Back Home and Broke," which is tc be the feature at Shortt's Theatre to-day. George Ade, the humorist, whose fables have made him one of the beat known and most popular of American writers, is the author.- The story telle of a' young^ man svho leaves his home town tc win success in the great West. Snubbed by former acquaintances, he goes away, and upon returning a few years later an apparent failure, ridicule is heaped upon him. Then a novel Ade twist to the eternal story is introduced, with interesting results. The second feature is "The Speed Girl," starring Bebe Daniels. It is the story of a girl who loved speed, and to whom anything under fifty miles per hour was like standing still. The supporting films are varied and interesting, and the music good.
