MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
OFFICIAL RECOUNT.
The official recount of votes cast in connection with the Makara County Council election of six councillors to represent the Porirua Riding was completed by the returning officer (Mr. W. L. Beech) to-day. There was no change in the position of the candidates, though in each case the number of votes was silghtly increased. The figures are as follow:—E. Windley 188, L. C. Bryant 174, D. Prosser 158, L. D. Nairn 155, S. S. Styles 144, J.^W. Bell 139 (the foregoing are elected)": A. M'Mahon 93, J. Purchase 82.
