SCHOOL COMMITTEES

Nine nominations for the nine positions on the Lyall Bay School Committee have been received. The new committee is as follows-.—Messrs. J. H. Bur-gayne-Thoraas. B. C. Cull. F. J. Evans, S. Greenall, ~A. E. Haswell, W. H. Sa-dd, A. Sando,/W. F. Stone, Rev. R. H. Cathenvood.

For Wellington South School Committee only six have been nominated — Messrs. "L. Birks. S. C. Middlebrook, L. A. Mollison, H. S. Jupp. G. A. Picton, and S. Nunn. There are nine vacancies. Tfce annual report details the activities of a busy year, and remarks on general improvements -which have been effected. The attendance last quarter was 94.5 per cent., and the children's health was particularly good.
