Gunson was re-elected Mayor unopposed. j City Councillors: Mes«vs. Baildon, Knight, Warnock, Hutchinson. Bloodworth, Hardley, Callum, Bennett, Dempsey, Entrican, Brinsden, Paterson, Donald, Garland, Fuiviesß, Thompson, Miss Melville, Crookes, Maclndoe, Robertson, Lawry. Harbour Board: Hon. E. W. Alison, Bloodwotth, Clay. Carx, Henderson, Indar, Lanjr, Mackenzie^ M'Callum, MacIndoe, Pan', Teasdale, Wallace. Wynyard.
Hospital Board: Messrs. Baildon, M'Brine, Coyle, Potter, Dempsey. Rowe, K. Howitt. Wallaoe, and Knight. The City' Council election resulted in the election of 16 members of the old council, and five new members. The twenty elected were on either the Progressive Citizens! or P.P. A. tickets. Of twelve Labour candidates only Mr. Bloodworth was elected. He wag fifth on the list.
AH the loan propoeals were carried— streets, £180,000; tramways,- £20,000; zoo extension, £20,000: suburban libraries, £16,000. Suburban Mayors were elected as follow :—
Mount Eden.—Mr. J' L Kyall Mount Albert.—Mr. L. E. Rhodes. Onehunga.— Mr. J. E. Cowell. Birkenhead.—Mr. E. C. Walton. Devonport.—Mr. T. Lamont. At Devouport the sitting Mayor was defeated.
