CANTERBURY RUGBY UNION TAKES ACTION.

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Last night the, Canterbury Rugby Union discussed the refusal of the Schools' Football Association 1 to accept entries from the denomination schools. A letter was read from the Marist Old Boys' Association asking what action the Rugby Union proposed to take. The Marist delegate stated that if the Marist schoolboys were cut out of the game the Old Boys' Association would take drastic action. The union decided that failing acceptance of Marist entries by the Schools' Association the union should undertake a special grade for schoolboys, and also a mid-week secondary schools' competition. A committee was set up to report.
