STEAMER ASHORE
PASSENGERS AND CREW SAFE.

SYDNEY, Bth March. The steamer sMindini, bound from the Solomons to Sydney, is ashore on Mellish reef in a perilous position. All the passengers and crew were safely landed at Herald Beacon. Several steamers are rushinc to the Mindini's assistance in response to wireless calls.
