THE INVISIBLE EYE

KU-KLUX-KLAN TERROR.

(UNITBD PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.)

(AUSTRALIAN - NBTV ZEALANB CABLB ASSOCIATION.) NEW YORK, 9th January.

A telegram from Bastrop, in Louisiana, says that a witness gave intimate details of the Ku-Klux-Klan's activities in Bastrop parish, where Uie murders occurred. He showed that an intricate, invisible government exists, neighbour watching neighbour for moral violations.

The Ku-Klux-Klan carried out extensive punishments, kidnapping some, including women, and sending them into other States, flogging others, killing them sometimes, and always using the threat of force, keeping citizens in constant terror.
