WELLINGTON TROTTING CLUB
■ Excellent acceptances have been, received for the Wellington Trotting Club's ■Meeting at the Hutt Park on Saturday. Eight events are notified, but greatest interest will centre round the Gold Cup event, over a distance of two miles, for which 11 horses have been accepted. The first race is timed to start at 12.15 p.m., trains leaving Wellington for 1. Petone at regular intervals from 9.5 a.m. A motor service has been arranged) to convey patrons to and from the railway station. Children will be admitted, but will be charged at the same rate as adults, except in the case of those desiring admission to the grandstand enclosure. Ten shilling totalisator tickets will be available in«both enclosures.
