INTIMIDATION
FIVE MEN IMPRISONED.
AUCKLAND, This Day.
At the Police Court to-day Michael Murphy and John Kelly were charged with intimidation and with using obscene language towards the crew of the schooner Houto. Mr. Wilson, S.M.^ said that the accused would have to get a lesson. Each man was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment on the first charge, and on the obscene language charge a conviction was recorded. Three men, Laroson,. Newbert, • and Green, charged with assault on Captain Williamson, of the steamer Houto, were sentenced to two months' hard laborr.
