PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRAFT.
The programme at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres is headed by a boxing story, "The Referee," with the popular Conway Tearle. in the lead.; Briefly, the story tells"* of 'a boxer who holds the middle-weight chain.pionship of the world, but he is injured in a motor accident, and his boxing career ends. He becomes a referee, and later is asked to countenance a crooked fight, twhich he refuses to do. ; The picture has a most sensational climax. The second feature on the bill is " Rough Shod," a drama of the west with Charles Jones in the leading role.; This film is said to contain oae. of the finest cowboy stories yet seen. Included in the programme will be the final screenings of the 8.8.8. (Beauty by ; Biograph) competition.
