NEW MEDICAL ORGANISATION
Relative to the recently formed Austrian and New Zealand Medical Association in London, to which "The Post's" correspondent refeiTed in a recent letter, some further particulars are to hand. The correspondent mentions that the New Zealanders on the committee are Mr. C. C. Choyce, Mi-. C. E. Lindsay, and Mr. Geoffrey Barnett, all of whom are well known in the Dominion. Other members cf the committee include Mr. Joseph Cunning, Mr. T. P. DnnkiJl, Mr. Isaac Jones, Mr. Denis Browne, and Mr. Francis Muecke, while the honoraryjoint secretaries are Mr. E. T. C. Milligan (formerly of Melbourne) and Mr. Bedford Russell. The two last-mention-ed were responsible for the suggestion, which was made at a dinner in London attended by about 40 people. Useful work has already been done by the committee in the iray of obtaining for newlyarrived medical men important positions in thd Mother Country. It is desired that every medical man and every medical student from overseas should, on his arrival in London, call on one of the honorary secretaries at 86, Harley street. It is reckoned'that there are about 130 Australian ; and New Zealand medical men in London at the present time. All of.these speak with great enthusiasm regarding the new project, for the need of such a body has been felt for a very long time. As already noted, it is proposed to hold two general meetings each year, in June and December, and each is tobe preceded by a dinner, so that the social sido should be very helpful to medical men who are either resident here or who are visiting England.
