NO GAMING AMENDMENT.
Mr. W. H. Field (Otaki) asked tha Prime Minister in the House of. Representatives yesterday whether the Government intended to repeal, the law prohibiting the publication of totalisator dividends. Mr. Massey replied that as far as he could see it would not be possible to introduce this session an amendment of the Gaming Act. ' Mr.-Field: "Can't we get tho Government's intentions?"
Mr. Maasey said it would be for th« new Parliament to give effect, if it felt so inclined, to the member's suggestion.
