CHARGE.

(Received 23rd September, 1 p-m.)

MELBOURNE, This Day. In the Fox case, the jury disagreed, and a new trial was ordered.

[Reuben Fox was committed for trial on 18th August on a charge of murdering Mrs. M'Laughlin. Both attended a dance on the night of the tragedy, and evidence was given that the clothes Fox wore at the dance were bloodstained. Fox strongly denied his guilt. It was believed that > Mrs. M'Laughlin, while on her way home from the dance, was outraged and murdered. Reuben Fox was arrested in connection with the crime.]
