SAMOAN ADVANCE GUARD
A PLEASANT REUNION.
A large number of the Samoan Ady vance Party met at Dustin's rooms oit' Saturday night to celebrate their second annual reunion. Mr. W. G. Morpeth was in the chair and those preaent included Sisters Willis, Wilson, Brandon, and Vida M'Lean. "Padre" Segriaf, and Colonel G. Mitehell, M.P., Colonel Haroourt Turner, and Captain Morky, Dr. Stout and Dr. Isaacs. During the coarse of the evening' several; heartily-applauded musical items were rendered by several ■soloist* and by "the Aeolian*" (Messrs. Mayall, Dean, Church, and Hall). Various toast* were honouTed, and in proposing "Our Naval Escort,"' Dr., Stout drew attention to the'significance of the fact that the French and British naviw were represented in the force which escorted the party. The toast "Fallen Comrades," was impressively honoured, by the singing of.B. L. Stevenson's "Requiem," followed by a brief period of silence.. , ■''.'■
