OLYMPIC
The Olympic Club hold its run from Brooklyn on • Saturday, and was in the ftirm of a test race to pick teams to represent the club in the Bennett Memorial road race, to bo held' next Saturday week. The distance was about six miles. The solid pace set'told on the inexperienced ones, who soon cracked up and retired. Campbell and Scatchard led foi the first two miles,- but, could not shake off Tracey, Beaglehole, and Craig, who: a^ this point went to the front. At the turning point,. Traeey and Beaglehol© were together with Craig, Campbell, and Scatchard close up, in that order. Workman, who had been close'up till now had to retire on account of one1 of his shoes coming to pieces. Campbell and Scatohard went to' the front on reaching the up grade in Happy Valley road, Campbell finishing first,,the next five to fellow bein? Scatchard,' Traoey, Beaglehole, Craig, and Hunter.
The club selector, Mr: E. A. Shaw, selected the following to represent the club in the road race: A Team: Moore, Campbell, Soatchard, Traeey, Beaglehole. B Team: Craig, Workman, Hunter, Hur-' ley, Burton.
