WELLINGTON

The' Wellington harriers held their run from the Maranui Surf Club's shed, Lyall Bay, on Saturday. A good trail, laid by A. Robinson and R. Mowbray, followed the beach round as far as the fishermen's huts, then up over the hills until Scots College was sighted.. It then led straight (town the hill, coming out on the road by the Council Chambers. Crossing (Jhe road, the trail led through Miramar, round the back of the Miramar School, and then made a turn for home. When the Lyall Bay sand hills were reached, the Palmer Cup course was picked,up, and followed as far as Onepu road, where the pack were halted for the usual handicap run in. T. Carter secured first place, with W. Wilkinson and C. Devereaux close behind.
