Saturday's performance'at the Grand Opera ; House of the tuneful musical comedy, "The Boy," was witnessed by a crowded' audience.! This delightful farce has a connected plot, and is full of _ bright musical numbers, dainty, dances, and rar« comedy. In the hands of the capable cast which enacts "The Boy," it is a'zestful, exhilarating .performance. Mr. Arthur. Stigant's role of the gay' old magistrate is on« of the finest character studies he has yet given, and each night; sees 'him' triumphant among | many sterling performances. Mr. Lane* Lister, in the title role, has a full sense of comedy, and Miss Rosie Le Varde, as Mrs. Meebles, plays no. small part in keeping things moving along briskly.. Miss Sheila Gale, Miss Mione Stewart, and Miss Nellie Payrie have many opportunities for comedy, song, da-noe, and frockingv The. dancing of Miss Jessie Sherwood and Mr. Alex.
