FOURTH DAY.
The fourth day of the competitions opened this morning, before an appreciative audience.
The recalls in the Scottish song, gentlemen, own selection, were Messrs. B. H. Mayall (Kilbirnie), A. Macdonald (New Plymouth), Claude C. Mow (Wellington). — ' , ' . ■ In the reading at sight, girls under 16, the judge decided as follows: — Misses K. Philpott (Christchurch), 1; Ngaire Phipson (Wellington), 2; and Joyce Staff (Christchurch) and Mavis Windsor (Wellington), 3. The recalls in the action recitation, boy or girl under nine (not in costume), own selection, were Misses, Belle Whitmarsh (Hataitai), Jeane Coker (Kilbirnie), Nonie Wright (Auckland).
