UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER
. The storm forecasted for the ©arty part of this week put in its appearance on time. High northerly winds a-re prevalent, with cloudy skies over the Dominion. A rain period has commenced on the West Coast, and the fall is likely to be heavier, with rivers rising. The Dominion Meteorologist states that the rain cloudE will probably spread their influence, with the winds cfoangimr to westerly in and south of Cook Strait. Thero are warning signals for those- winds all over the Dominion. Tho barometer is due to fall fast, but it should rise in the South after about 20 hours. Cold weather, with snow on tho highdr levels in southern parts is expected. . ,
