The outstanding feature of' the pro- i gramme is Schumann's Carnival.", Thai ' master-work includes an amazing variety of beautiful movements descriptive of the character of the Harlequinade. Other standard items are Liszt's astounding Paganini-study "La Campanella," Chopin's Ballade in A flat, Nocturne in, F sharp, and Schergo in B flat minor.. Among the group of shoiter works to be included are Debussy's "Jardins Sous la Pluie," Ireland's "Island Spell," and Palmgren's "The Sea," "Night in May,'' and "Bird Song." The last-named will probably be new to Wellington concertgoers, except .those., who, heard it placed by Moiseivitch, in Australia.
