APPLICATION FOR INJUNCTION.
- Ojmkd.priss association.—comright.)
SYDNEY, sth July. y ■ In the Arbitration Court the Graziers' Association applied for an injunction to restrain two of their members, owners of Quamtambone Station, from employing shearers at rates in compliance with the demands of the Shearers' Union and above the rates of the recent award given by Mr. Justice Powers. The grounds of the application were that! as the High Court on the application of the Graziers' Association made an order-for-bidding the Australian Workers' Union persisting in ite attitude of not permit--ting its members to work under the Powers award, the breakaway of such a large station as Quamtambone, which ■ shears 200.000 sheep, at the present stage would disable the Graziers' Association from maintaining the position it had taken tip. The hearing was adjourn^ / ed till 10th July to enable the parties to confer.
