CARTERTON, 3rd July. A meeting of the! Management Committee of the Wairarapa Rugby Union was held on Saturday" night, Mr. Alf Johnson presiding. Accounts amounting t0,£42 6s 5d were passed for payment, of which .Ell 13s, 4d was for accident insurance. It was decided that the whole of the proceeds,! approximately £50, from Charity Saturday matches bo paid to the Sir Arthur Pearson Fund for the Blind. It was decided that the All-Black v. Wairarapa match bo played on the Masterton Park, and that the local Borough Council be asked to accept 7_ per cent, of the 2s gato in liou of 15 por cent, of a shilling gate. Messrs. A. Johnson, Ft. Ward, E. M'Kenzie, and J. 0. Pinkey were appointed' a committee to make all the necessary arrangements for the match It was decided that a new set of jerseys be obtained at the price quoted by a Wellington firm. The action of the secretary in offering the Bush Union £2 towards the expenses of playing the junior representative match at Grevtowri was1 endorsed. The match with Golden Bay Union was fixed for 23rd August at Featherston, the Golden Bay Union to be allowed £20 towards expenses. It was decided that the Auckland v. Wairarapa match be played at Masterton on 30th August, and as this and,,the All-Blacks match are being played on a Wednesday, the tradespeople of the Wairarapa are to be asked to observe a half-holiday on theso occasions. The date for the .match with Horowhenua wns left witli the secretary to arrange. It was resolved that the Southern Hawkes Bay match with Wairarapa seniors be played at Carterton next Saturday. The Wairarapa Hospital Board wrote claiming for expenses in respect to two injured footballers who had failed to. pay1 their accounts, ; and tho union docidod that the claim could not be recognised Programmes nre to be issued for representative matches, the proceeds to go to the Accident Insurance Fund. It was decided that tho' South Canterbury match be played at Groytown on 6th September. The Wa'irarapa junior representative team going on tour will play tho Bush al Pahiatiia on 3rd August, and Hawkes Bay at Napier on sth August. The return game with Hawkes Bay. .will be played in the Wairarapa on 19th August. , ,
