OTAKI, This Day.
At a.meeting of All Saints' Vestry, the Rev. G. F. Petrie (chairman)*'stated that during! the year £235 had been given in general offertories and £56 in Special, in all, nearly £300, which he considered spoke well for such: a small district like Otaki. He considered Otaki compared more than favourably with any the laige towns. ■' The, contributions through! th c'■ Mission Guild.. amounted to £110, and this he thought a splendid result.'.. The bazaars had realised 6ome £240, which also reflected credit on the people of the district, especially in view of the hard times/and stated that instead of contributions decreasing they! had in-. cre§sed. The Rev. Mr. Petrie also said that the guild had recently handed over £18. The matter of a church hall was discussed, and Messrs. Best,. Sti George. Da vies, and Norgrove were appointed a committee to go into the matter and report in. a month's time.
