VALUES AT KAIWAERA,
Judgment was given at the Supreme Court this morning as to the claim of £2587 compensation made by John and' Alexander Cameron against the Minister of Railways in respect of three acres of land at Kaiwanra taken over by the Railway Department in connection with the railway housing scheme. On the Bench were Mr. Justice Reed, Mr. A. H. Miles, assessor for the claimants,., and Mr. W. ; Feriguson.,. assessor for the Department. • The assessors, said his Honour, had swarded £1350 to the claimants, and with that assessment he concurred. Claimants would also bo allowed ,coste, fees, and witnesses' expenses, and the respondent would be required to pay Shirty guineas assessors' fees. Mr. T. C. A. Hislojp appeared for tfap ■claimants, and Mr. P. S. K. Macassey ior the Railway Department.
