INTERCESSORY SERVICE

• There was a large attendance at the citizens' intercessory service held in the Town Hall at midday. Mr. D. A. Ewen presided. The order of service includes Scripture readings as follow; — Exodus 20, 1-20 by the chairman; Deuteronomy 28, 1-20 by Mr. P. Fulton; and John 9, 1-33 by Mr. A. Birch. Messrs. H. J. Thompson, C. M. Luke, and Rev; Dr. J. Kennedy Elliott offered prayers. Several hymns were heartily sung to the accompaniment of Mr. C. Turner at the piano. The service concluded by the singing of the National Anthem.
