The police reports in respect to the Moirison's Bush Hotel, Taueru Hotel, and Martinborough. Hotel, v/ei'e of an adverse nature, while in( many cjises the Health Department reports requested certain% .works to ba carried out, most of which had. bean attended to. The transfer of the' Blairlo^e Junction Hotel license from Alice Bavty to J. H. Coogan was gi-anted. Renewde wero granted to J. E. Fitzgerald. Morrison's/Bush Hotel; George. M'Kenzie. Tauherenikau Hotel; James Curran. Foresters' Arms Hotel, Greytown ; feeorge Everett, Greytown Hotel; Edward Houlihan, Tavatahi Hotel; Midiael A. Quinn, Club- Hotel, Martinborough ;W. J. Condor, Eoyal Oak Hot-el; Caarterton; R. E. Reid, Marine Hotel, Wh-akatald; J. 'A. Ooogan, Blairlogio Junction ; G. A. Vincent, 'Empire Hotel, Featherstan;; T. F. Mulchey, Martinborough Hotels K-. Dwyer, Royal Hotel, Featberston; L. H. Arthur, Gladstone Hotel. The application '.of H. J. Kelliher, Marquis, of Normanby Hotel, Carterton, was adjourned until the next qiWirterly sitting, to enable improvements to the buildino; being caxxied out. A similar, adjournment was granted in respect to the application of R. ■. Stewart, Club Hotel, Greytown. Tlie application of W. E. Harvey for the transfer of the license of the Taueru Hotel tip John /Thomson was adjourned "for three months, to enable the licensee to comply with necessary conditions: To enable administration matters to be .completed, the application of the laW-R. J. Paul, in respect to the Club Hotel, CaxLerton, was adjourned till 28Ui June. The application, for a renewal to D. E. Faiitham in respect to the Tenui Hotel was adjoui-ned for three months, in order that the requirements, of the Health.. De- ! partment- may be complied, with. A' .wholeeale license was granted to the W.F.C.A., Greytowtt. In the.. Carterton Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon, a youtli, eighteen years of age, was charged with indecently assaulting a female aged five years and three months. On the application of the police, accused .was remanded until the Bth June, bail being allowed, self in £200 and two sureties .of £100 each.
