Maiden Steeples, of 500 soys; 2£' miles.—Mary Bruce, 9.3, 1;. Grand Canyon, 9.0, 2; John Bunny, 10.0, 3. Scratched: Hyttus, Te Rohae. Won by three lengths, with 100 yards between second' and, third horse. Time, smin 25sec.
Jervois Handicap (Second Division), ol 500 soys; seven furlongs.—Golden Jacket, 8.3, 1; Blissfulness, 8.7, 2 ; Lamour, 8.0, 3. All starts. Won by half a length, and led all the way. Time, lmin 25sec. , . ' ' :
Maiden Hurdles, of 500 soys; one mile and three-quarters.—King Abbey, 10.3, 1; Tom Moore, 9.0, 2; Hushman, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Vagabond, Hyttus. Won by three-quarters of a length, with four lengths between second and third horse. Time, 3min 38sec.
