ST. THOMAS'S CHURCH

The annual meeting of the parishioners of St Thomas's Church, Newtown, was held on Thursday, the. Rev. W Fancourt presiding. in moving the- adoption of the report and balance-sheet, Mr. Fancourt mentioned tho division of the parish, and the formation of a separate district of St. Cuthbart's. In regard to finance/ he pointed out that nearly a third of the receipts for tho year had been devoted to missions and similar pur-

poses. Church officers for tho year were appointed as'follow.—Churchwardens, Dr. J. 11. Kemp and Mr. J. W. Salmon; vestry, Messrs. Ballingor, R. Bell, Christie, .'■ Cooper, Druminond, Grenside, Harmer, Etheridge, Hirst, and Dawson; auditors, Messrs. F. Hall and G. G. Schwartz.

A hearty vote of thanks was passed to all those "who had assisted in any way during the past year, special mention being made of the parishioners' warden, Mr. Salmon.
