CHRISTCHURCH, 27th: March.

As the result of a disturbance in a Chinse restaurant yesterday, two Europeans were arrested. The allegations of the occupants were that the men had entered the" premises stating that the Chinese were gambling, and that one of the Chinamen was relieved of a small sum of money. The men, Leonard Wilkinson and Thomas .Ferguson, appeared before the Court this morning on a charge of stealing the snm of 5s 6d and several Chinese coins. Wilkinson was also charged with having .assumed the designation of detective. The case svas adjourned, bail being allowed. •
