WON BY MARIST.

Marist Old Boys won the fourth-grade championship by securing a two-point win, over Thorndon. Marist sent Thorndon in for first strike, and the whole side was dismissed for 38 runs. Marist compiled 93 runs, passing Thorndon's score with one wicket down. Thorndon batted again, and compiled 103 l'uns for the loss of.five wickets, and declared. Thomdon gave Marist 20 minutes in which to obtain 44 runs for a three-point win, but after knocking up 16 runs off the first over, the batsmen made an.appeal against the light, and the match thus ended in a win for Mt'rist by 60 runs on the first innings.
