JUNIOR A.
In the Marist-Petone match Petone batted first, ranking 137, to which Marist replied with. 184. Petone, in the second innings, made 57 for six wickets, .which gave Marist, a, two-point win on the first innings by 47 runs. Midland defeated Poneke by eight wickets, tKus winding up the season by three consecutive three-point wins. Watson and O'Connor carried the Midland score to within 5 runs of Ponekc's first innings total. Poneke fared badly in their second innings, H. Moss and H. Baumber, backed tip by fins fielding, dismissing ■ Poneke for 50 runs. The scores were : Poneke 124 and 50. Midland ua and 47 f OT two , v ioksts, University defeated Old -Boys by an
j innings and 57 runs. Scores-: Old Boys 88. University, first innings, 180 (Joplin 62). Thorndon secured a three-point win over- Wellington College. The Thorndon scores were 164, and seven wickets for 63. Wellington College got 57 and 167 .(R.._ M'Kenzie 46, Hollings 40).. The game between Kilbirnie and Porirua was most exciting. Kilbirnie, not having been beaten this' seaeon, managed to secure a three-point win by dismissing tho last batsman of the Porirua team with, the last ball of the last over just in time. , Scores : Kilbirnie 1 first innings, 84; second innings, 190 for four wickets (declared). Porirua first innings, 82;. second innings, 82. , Kilbirnie won by 110 rune. JUNIOR B. ' The match between Kilbirnie and Lyall Bay ended in a. three-point win for Kilbirnie by 8 wickets. Kilbirnie have gone through the season with an unbeaten record. Lyall Bay, first innings, 87 ; second innings, 26. Kilbirnie, first innings, 106; second innings 11 for two ■wickets. . Thorndon, 174 and 54 for one wicket, secured a three-point win ov«r Y.M.C.A., 74 and 138. I . St. Thomas's v. Poneke.—-Poneke 74 and 132. St. Thomas's 127 and 201. St. Thomas's won by seven wickets. THIRD A Poneke and Midland, who were level in this grade, met -lv Duppa-ptreeti. Poneke in their first innings compiled 70. Midland's opening batsmen, Halley and Hutchings, put on 122 without being separated, and Midland declared. Poneke, second innings, three for 34. j Midland won by 56 runs on the first innings." , i Kilbirnie v. Wellington.—Kilbirnie se-1 cured a three-point win by default. Karori, 112 and 19 for one wicket, beat Northland, 52 and 77.'
