i At.,, a conference between Mr. E. Heathcote Williams, president, cif the New Zealand Cricket A^ocia£;oh, Mr. Swan, chairman of jhe Essex County Cricket Club, and members of the ex€cufciveof the New Zealand Cricket Council, matters in connection with the, tour of Macfeen's team were discussed. It -was stated that 'Maclaren was bringing a team at his own financial risk. It was ■pointed out that Maclaren desired to play on© match in Australia coming out, and eight going back, and this being so the sanction of the M.C.C. would have to be obtained for the proposed tour. It was resolved to cable the M.C.C. asking if it had given its sanction to the proposed tour.
