JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd. and Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd/, .in conjunction, report on the Johnsonville fat stock sale, held. on .Wednesday as follows:—
"A fair yarding of both sheep and tle came forward, but the quality- of all classes of stock was very , medium,' with the exception of odd pens. If farmers could only bo persuaded to send down really prime stuff their efforts would be well rewarded. Anything approaching decent weights sold particularly well. We quote :—Best wethers, 20s 6d to 22s Id; forward stores, 13s 6d to 13s 8d; ■ best owea, 15s, 15s 3d, to 15s 9d; light, 13s Bd, 14s sd, to 14s' 6d; best lambs, 235; medium, 19s to 20s; rough sorts, 14s to 14s 3d; best ox £9 2s 6d to £9 10s; medium, £8 to £8 10s; light, £7, £7 10s to £7 15s; best cows and heifers, £5 5s to £5 15s; medium, .£4 2s 6d, £4 7s 6d, to £5; vealers, 30s, 33s 6d, 355, 375, 37s 6d, '£2 2s 6d to £2 3s.-
