Confereßces between, representatives of the- Mines Department and fche State ooal miners have resulted ill an agreement which is believed to be satisfactory to both parties. The most contentious, matter was that of. hours on ''back" Saturdays—the alternate Saturdays on which the miners work. The agreement come to provides that the shifts on these days should be seven hours, and six hours.
