CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Charges which dated back as far as eight years were brought against William Coe, at one time an insurance agent, in the Mgaistrate's Court to-day. There were two sets of charges, one relating to the theft of moneys amounting to £30 Bs, and the other to tho obtaining of £60 8s by the accused falsely representing himself as an agent for the Australasian Temperance and General Mutual Life Assurance Society. The accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
