CHRISTCHURCH, 7th March,

In the Supreme Court to-day Annie Janet M'Ewan was awarded £210 damages in an action brought by her against Beatrice Francis and Rebekah Gilkes, proprietors of a private nursing home, for negligent and unskilful nursing. The plaintiff had undergone an operation in the home, and while recovering from the effects of the anaesthetic had both heels burned by a hot-water bottle.
