Swimmers have no complaints to make to-day. The weather for the third carnival of the national championships, being held at Te Aro Bathe, is ideal, and j the • conditions generally are in ■ favour of .fast times and keen sport. A large crowd has gathered at the baths. Championship events for decision are the 880 Yards (men), 220 Yard's Breaststroke (men), 100 Yards (intermediate girls), New Zealand diving. 100 Yards (junior girls), 410 Yards (junior boys). 440 Yards (ladies), 100 Yards (intermediate boys), and another round of the watertpolo. v Results "up to the time of going to press are as fellow: — 50yds Boys' Inter-club Handicap :— First heat: J. Atkinson gained on Claridge in the last few yards, and won by a touch. Herd was a yard back third. Time, 3min 16 2-ssec. Miss G.
