A meeting of the full 'Kaval Committee has been called for to-morrow afternoon. This is taken 10 indicate that messages have been received from Tokio and London agreeing to the outstanding questions of Pacific fortifications and the conversion of ships under the scrapping provisions. Some profess to read into the circumstances that a full meeting has been called on the assumption- that such replies are favourable. Otherwise, it is argued, only the heads would have been summoned.
