CATHOLIC PICNIC AND SPORTS.
A most enjoyable day is assured for those who patronise the Catholic picnic and sports on Boxing Daj at Scatoun Park. There will bo a varied sports programme, for which valuable prizes have been allocated. A feature of the proferammo will be the inter-parish tug-of-v.-ar tournament, for which a chalk-ngo can will be competed for in addition to cash prizes. Tho dancing programme should attract a large number of entries, which closo on the ground. The medals are now on view at the Marble Bar, Mannersstreet. The baby show is an event that is always- well patronised, and in addition to the four pr'zes for boys and for girls, Mr. Arthur Law has donated £5 5s for t.he best baby on the field, and Mr. J. E. Taylor has donated a handsome medal for tho mother of. the largest family who has a baby competing in the baby competition. A special tramcar service has been arranged, and special tram tickets may bo procured, which provides for return faro, and arc transferable. The ticket also provides for admission to the grounds. Those who do not purohaso tho special tickets will bo charged for admission *° *'lo grounds.
