FALLING COSTS
WORK ON STEAMERS RESUMED.
(DNITIS PKIIS ASSOCIATION.—COPTMGIT.) (Received December 22, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 21st December. Anticipating a further fall in the cost of production, the Commonwealth and Dominion Lino has ordered work to be resumed on the steamers Port Auckland and Port Campbell, which were commenced in Messrs. Workman Clark's yard, Belfast, two years ago. The worli was stopped last March.
