Mr. Marconi has /offered the Government of India direct wireless communication between India, Britain, and elsewhere. He is willing either to construct the station at his own expense within a year, and conduct an efficient commercial service, or to build a station and conduct the service on' a joint account with the Indian Government, on a similar basis to that approved by Australia. The cost of the station is estimated at £400,000 exclusive of patent rights.
