MAGISTRATE'S COURT
A short list was plaoed before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M:, at the Magistrate's Court, this morning. V Robert Raffqrd, k member of the crew of the ateamer Kaiwarra, was fined 20s . and costs amounting to £2,1s for having assaulted a fellow-worker^ Robert King, while in a quarrelsome mood due to overindulgence in liquor. The , Magistrate ordered that half tlje fine and. certain ■of the expenses should go to.King, whose head and baok : had been cut by the ,bottle with which'the; attack was made. Norman Oswald Smith was remanded for one- week on' a charge of having broken the terms of his probation.
