FLIGHT ROUND AUSTRALIA
PARER MAKEB ANOTHER START.

MELBOURNE, 7th October, Lieutenant Parer has recommenced his flight round. Australia.
[lieutenant Parer, accompanied by Marke Parer and Anthony Kayo, left, Melbourne on 3rd August, in a biting wind, with hail and rain, but after travelling forty miles his engines developed trouble. Ho landed safely, and sent his companions away to obtain wood for overhauling purposes. While away Parer started to overhaul the machine, but the strong wind overbalanced him, and his legs and feet were caught in the revolving .propeller. A big toe was broken and both feet badly bruised. He was suffering severely from exposure,. when his companions returned, and was removed to hospital. The flight was resumed on 19th 'September, but was, interrupted again on the way to Adelaide, owing to engine-knocking.]
