The National Progressive ■ Moderate Labour Party, through' its leader (Mr. C. E. Stathani., M.P.), announced, to-day that'it had-decided definitely to contest 65 , seats at the' next General' Election in 1922., Decisions in regard to the remaining 15 seatshave been held in- abeyance • temporarily. Mr. Statham explained that this decision- had been - come to at the conference just concluded. Definite selections of candidates could not be announced yet, but these would b« made public in due course. Incidentally Mr. Statham mentioned that each candidate would be pledged to' support all the planks of the party, but otherwise would bo left free to exercise his own jndgment on matters coining before the House.
