The Morning Post- is featuring the case of Mrs. Lindsay, of Coachford, Cork, who with her, chauffour was kidnapped on 17th February. Her relatives have received a letter from the Sinn Fein Minister of Defence, Mr. Burgess, announcing her excution, because she was a spy. Mrs.- Lindsay was a widow, seventy years of ago, and was held as a prisoner for' months before she was killed. She was forced to write a letter to General Macready (Commandant of the Forces in Ireland), asking for the reprieve of several Sinn Feiners, saying that if they were executed, her life would be forfeit. The opinion is that she was executed as soon as the Sinn Feiners were. The Morning Post says the case ig analogous to the case of Nurse Cavell, though it points out that the latter- was tried according* to the rules of a Court of justice. The Morning Post hittelry comments on the changed attitude of the British Government in negotiating with Mr. de Valera, who is the head of a gang of assassins, which perpetrates those unspeakable barbarities.
