MINERS' FEDERATION
The retirement of Mr. S. Arbucklo from the position of general secretary of tho Miners' Federation is announced. Tho candidates for the position arc Messrs. W. Baldorstone (Blackball), F. H. Grant (Millerton), J. O'Brien (Huntly), P. O'Eourke (State Mine), TV. Shanks (Pukemiro), and W. H. Smith ■ (Rotowarn). A ballot is now proceeding among members of affiliated unions. Mr. Arbuckle was only reoontly re-elected to the position.
