ST. JOSEPH'S ORPHANAGE.

On Tuesday last the members of St. Joseph's concert party entertained the children at tho Upper Hutt Orphanage by giving them a most enjoyable concert. The, hall where the entertainment wae given was beautifully decorated for the .occasion by some of the children of the orphanage. The following contributed items :—Misses N. .Davis, A. Flan, E. Charles, V. Flan, K. Quin, E. Kennedy, M. Dillon, Z. Carroll, Messrs. .A. Chalk, J. .Kennedy, J. Ridler, S. Airth, P. Jepson, G. .Collier, 'M. Carroll, and six* choir boys. Mrs. Anderson was the accompanist. At the conclusion, the party adjourned to tho dining room where a dainty supper was served by the Rev.' Mother Ambrose, who thanked, the performers for their generosity and invited them out on some future occasion. Messrs. J. Hyland and R. S. Dwyer were responsible for the arrangements of the eveilinj:.
