MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Messrs. I. Salok and J. B. Teasdalo, J.P.s, presided at to-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Coure.
Two first-offending inebriates were convicted arid discharged. Alexander M'Bride, who had offended for drunkenness twice previously, was fined 20s, in default 48 hours in gaol.
Robert Strath, charged with the theft of a money belt and £35 10s in money on 6th March, from one Victor J3. Woods, was remanded until Wednesday next. Bail was fixed at the sum of £50.
William Edward. Parker, who was charged that on 23rd June he did attempt to obtain the sum of £14 14s from the 1 New Zealand Insurance Company, by falsely representing that.as a result of an accident on the steamer Rama on sth May, 1921, he was totally incapacitated, was remanded until Wednesday next.
