The; Wellington Harriers were the guests', of Mr. and Mrs. Rowberry, Biicßirigh&m-road, Lyall Biiy, on Saturday; .when a.first-class trail was laid by the veteran Captain W. Press, and F. Eowberry.: . Ihe ' course led down' Sutherland-road to the Lyall Bay beach, and across the sand dunes to Turalcina Bay, where a halt was made. A turn was then made for home over the hills, and coming rout on the east side;of Scots College, the paper led into Miramar towards the polo ground and back through the Miramar cutting, where it branched off for the' town bounadry, across the sand again till Onepu-road was reached, and then 1 over' the hill to home. Some of the' younger lads, especially R. Watson and Bardsley, performed very well. The first man home was A.. Hose, with W. Weston, R. Mowbay, dead-heat, second, and after an interval E. Caddick and Eon Watson. After the run the host and hostess provided afternoon tea.
